5 Favorite Outdoor Amenities

We’ve been experiencing one of the hottest summers on record this year, but that doesn’t mean you have to stay inside! Our hospitality team are experts in amenity spaces to enjoy the summer weather. Although we specialize in interior design, outdoor spaces are also a part of what we love to design, and we know how important they are to the project. Especially in the hospitality world, connection to the outdoors is essential for residents and guests. Here are our five favorite outdoor amenities to enjoy spending time outside.

POOLSIDE HANGOUT

Project: Del Webb | Lake Las Vegas Clubhouse

When it’s hot out (especially in the Las Vegas desert) a pool is the best place to be. This resort-style pool at the Lake Las Vegas clubhouse is the ultimate hangout for poolside reading, swimming, cocktail sipping, or floating. Rows of palm trees line the pool along with umbrellas and chaise lounges for a luxury oasis feel. Just under the covered portion of the expansive patio are clusters of dining tables and comfortable patio seating so you can beat the heat or just relax after a day in the sun.

FIRESIDE VIEWS

Project: Del Webb | Lake Las Vegas Clubhouse

Nothing beats a gorgeous Nevada sunset, and what better way to take in the views than sitting fireside with the foothills in the distance? This amenity building sits atop the highest point in the community, allowing breathtaking views without a single obstruction in sight. The statement linear firepit creates a perfect gathering space to chat and enjoy the cooler summer nights while the covered patio area provides shelter from the sun or occasional rain shower with additional seating.

outdoor game lawn

Project: Del Webb | The Saguaro Center at Sun City Festival II

Summer wouldn’t be complete without yard games on the event lawns at The Saguaro Center. These faux grass zones are able to host corn hole, bocce ball, and any other outdoor games imaginable. The unique festoon lights add a gorgeous summer ambiance to the space, and flexible seating is included around the perimeter for spectators.

PATIO CONNECTIONS

Project: Shea Homes | The Exchange Coffee House & Information Center at The Canyons

Coffee shops really do it all these days — provide a space to gather, fuel, relax or work. The Exchange has it all, in addition to indoor/outdoor connection. The coffee house doubles as an information center for The Canyons community, but residents, future residents and the public are all welcome to spend time at The Exchange. The large patio seamlessly transitions to the indoors with large collapsible glass walls. There is an energy at The Exchange that allows for true connections to happen, no matter what you’re there for!

shaded pool house

Project: Shea Homes | Pool House at The Canyons

While the pool is a great place to beat the heat, there’s always a need for a shaded area to escape to. The Canyons Pool House offers scenic views in all directions, creating a connection to nature and resort-like feel. Residents can escape the sun or host special gatherings in the pavilion, featuring massive sliding barn doors and custom outdoor chandeliers. The pool house is just a stones throw from the water, allowing you to spend your entire summer day outside.
