Spring is always an exciting time in the design world. As we begin to defrost from winter, new inspiration strikes, and our homes start begging for something new and fresh. Whether or not it feels like spring outside where you are, it surely will soon, and we are here to help you prepare your home for a rejuvenating springtime. Check out our top trend insights for Spring 2025!
GO GREEN
We’ve seen the use of color in general increase in the last couple of years, and we’re seeing a specific color rise to the top: green! The color green has a unique ability to calm and soothe from a psychology standpoint. Its obvious connection with nature and life allow it to evoke a sense of balance and harmony when used in interiors. Whether you’re breaking out the paint to cover an entire room, or just using touches of green throughout your space, you’ll surely feel a difference. We also recommend using in-season greenery, flowers and other stems to bring a touch of freshness. Maximize the benefits of nature by bringing nature inside!
OUTDOOR LIVING
Springtime brings a new opportunity to actually get out of the house and spend more time outside. We all know that being outside and in the sun can do wonders for your wellbeing! As such, outdoor living has truly surpassed an average patio at this point. There’s an urge to maximize our time outside, and homeowners are looking for the same comforts they have inside, outside. Outdoor furniture has become more durable and more beautiful than ever, and coupled with a gorgeous fireplace and TV, you’ve now brought your living room outside. Additionally, outdoor kitchens, dining, and sitting rooms have expanded the outdoor footprint to become a vital entertainment space. We’re getting creative with fully or partially covered outdoor spaces, shades, fans, and heaters to make sure that you can use your outdoor space year-round. We’ve officially brought the inside, out.
WALLPAPER OBSESSED
We’re certainly on board with the recent wallpaper trend, as we’ve incorporated both neutral and loud wallcoverings into our designs. Instantly adding texture, color, or pattern to a room, wallpaper can be your focal point or just a beautiful, supplementary layer to the design. You can go earthy with a more organic pattern for a sense of natural bliss, or go bold with a fun and unique pattern, infusing vibrancy into the space. We’re particularly drawn to wallpapered ceilings — an always unexpected and pleasant shift from the ordinary. If your space is feeling dull and tired from the long winter, freshen up with an exciting wallcovering!
LIGHTEN YOUR LAYERS
Maximize the springtime daylight by lightening up your bedding and window treatments. The days are only getting longer, and that natural light plays a huge role in the look and feel of your home. Consider swapping out your thick drapery for something more airy like linen for a light and fresh upgrade. When the sun is shining and a breeze is coming in, you’ll have that familiar feeling of the first day of spring. As far as bedding goes, you don’t need the chunky knit throw or quilt under your duvet anymore! Lighten up your layers on your bedding, and while you’re at it, consider swapping your accent pillows for a pastel color. Voila, your bedroom has been transformed and you’re ready for warmer weather!
ROTATE + REORGANIZE
It wouldn’t be spring without a little spring cleaning. Cleaning up, clearing out, and reorganizing can have a wonderful effect on your mental health as the seasons change. From a design standpoint, we recommend switching up your accessories in built-ins and shelving for a fresh look. Try something new that you’ve never considered, or use your accessories in an unexpected place. You don’t necessarily have to get something new, just rotate your styling like you’d rotate your tires. When you walk into the room, you’ll feel refreshed and pleasantly surprised by a new arrangement. Rearranging can be a wonderful way to welcome the change of springtime.
