Kimberly is the founder & creative director of KTI and brings three decades of interior design expertise to the hospitality, interior merchandising and luxury residential industries across the country. As an inductee of the Colorado Institute of Art’s Hall of Fame, she is relentlessly studying current design trends while creating innovative solutions. Her passion for artistic excellence shines through in all she does, and the success of KTI stems from the high value she places on honest communication and the continual nourishment of creativity. Her resourceful leadership and solid commitment to her clients has helped Kimberly develop relationships with the nation’s premier builders, hospitality developers and architects. Under her expert guidance, KTI’s projects open again and again to rave reviews, and her nationally acclaimed work has been widely published and honored with over 100 local and national design awards.

Marla-Rae is an inspiring leader who empowers her team to push the boundaries of design cultivating confidence and creativity every day. Beginning her professional career in 2005 within the Hospitality industry, she has established a vast expertise in hotel design for select, full service, and luxury brand properties. With a meticulous eye for detail and precision, Marla-Rae seeks a level of excellence in the work she produces, and is passionate about creating thoughtful, sophisticated spaces. Marla-Rae finds creativity and inspiration in high fashion and translates this influence into her work. She leads the KTI Hospitality team with a collaborative spirit and passion for what she does.
NIKKI HOLT
Luxury Residential | Studio Design Director
Nikki’s biggest passion is working in residential design. She feels honored to be invited into her clients’ homes where she works to bring their clients’ personal design visions to life. Nikki has experience working with different home builders and private owners across Colorado, giving her a vast amount of connections in the industry. Nikki leads the 4-person residential team and is proud to create beautiful homes for her clients that will leave a lasting impression.

Director of Warehouse Operations and Logistics
Since joining the hospitality industry, Andy has developed a passion for helping designers and property owners complete their vision. With over 10 years of experience as a procurement professional, he takes pride in managing projects in a way that makes them beautiful while still coming in within budget and timeline.
HEATHER JOHNSON
Controller
Heather comes to KTI as an experienced Controller within the real estate/construction industry. As the Controller, she is responsible for all accounting functions and is striving to ensure excellence and accuracy within the KTI team. Heather is skilled in collaborating with executive teams to support data-driven decisions that promotes growth and is dedicated to the financial health and stability of KTI. As a Colorado local, Heather is active in volunteering for an animal shelter and loves spending time with her family and friends.

Brandon joins the KTI team with rich experience in leadership, marketing, and business development within the luxury fashion & service industry. He is passionate about showcasing the work of the team and highlighting KTI’s brand through client touchpoints, thought leadership, and storytelling.

Sylve graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Art Institute of Colorado in 2008 with a B.A. in Interior Design. Sylve is a creative who believes in the power of beautiful interiors to transform daily life. With an extensive background in hospitality and resorts, Sylve has been the lead designer for many well-known select, full service and luxury brand properties such as Hilton and Marriott. Sylve is collaborative, detail oriented, positive, and well versed in the development and realization of large-scale projects. Her cheerful disposition and well-trained eye for quality manifests itself through her work, allowing for cohesive collaboration and a timeless style that remains fresh year after year.
JENA SIMMS
Hospitality | Senior Interior Designer
Since the inception of her design career in early 2005, Jena brings a diverse background of skills and knowledge to KTI with years of combined hospitality, commercial and multi-family interior design experience. She holds a BA in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Las Vegas and a BPA in Dance Performance from Oklahoma City University. As lead designer on multiple select and full-service luxury brand hotel properties, Jena has acquired exceptional skills in problem solving around budgets, unforeseen field conditions and project obstacles that arise – all while sustaining a cohesive design. Jena’s seasoned background and leadership is unmistakable in her project collaborations and creates an efficient path forward as well as excellent work quality. Her keen eye and intuitive approach to design shines through from beginning to end, manifesting in an incredibly sensational and expansive guest experience.
ABIGAIL CALKINS
Hospitality | Senior Interior Designer
After earning a B.S. in Interior Design at Colorado State University, Abigail found her way to KTI where she began her career in hospitality design in 2017. Enriched in her years of practice, Abigail has been engaged in all phases of the design process including client contact, programming, concept vision, schematic design, animation coordination, design development, and construction documentation. Her keen eye and attention to detail has become an invaluable asset through the construction administration phase lending her technical awareness to both purchasing and construction coordination through to the installation of FF&E. With her cheerful disposition, invested work ethic, and passion for design, she is able to create curated, elevated and timeless spaces for all to enjoy.
HOPE SCHALCK, NCIDQ
Hospitality | Interior Designer
Originally from Chicago, Hope moved to Colorado in 2004. In the Fall of 2008 Hope graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Colorado and then went on to earn her NCIDQ in Spring of 2017. With a drive for excellence and a passion for superior customer service, Hope began her career in the Hospitality industry where she absorbed the techniques of her craft from the experience and creativity of her peers. After a short hiatus into Luxury Residential Kitchen + Bath Design, Hope returned to Hospitality when she joined Kimberly Timmons Interiors in Spring of 2024. Surrounded by fellow high-achieving teammates, Hope strives to produce unique, creative and design-driven spaces for her clients. When not designing, you can catch Hope enjoying time with her family and especially her sweet, young son, Jack, golfing, hiking or riding bikes around their Parker neighborhood.
CAROLINE JONES, NCIDQ
Hospitality | Interior Designer
A Colorado native, Caroline moved back home after graduating from Florida State University in 2016 with a B.S in Interior Architecture & Design. She currently holds an NCIDQ certification, which she achieved in 2021, and brings to KTI experience across a variety of commercial design sectors. Caroline’s eye for detail comes through on every project, as does her passion for creating spaces that transform a client’s ideas into beautiful and functional design solutions. She loves infusing aspects of the surrounding area into her designs, especially within art, creating meaningful and timeless spaces that bring the community together. When she is not designing, you can catch Caroline with her family, chasing her two young boys around the playground, or dreaming up her next DIY home project!
LEIGH KOLB
Hospitality | Interior Designer
With a background in hospitality, client relations, and communications, Leigh earned her first bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal Communications from Pepperdine University, after which she developed communications strategies, graphic design, photography, and marketing campaigns for a variety of hospitality, tourism, and nonprofit clients in Washington State and Colorado. A summa cum laude graduate of Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design’s Sustainable Interior Design program, Leigh’s passion for empathetic relationships, communication, efficiency, accessibility, and sustainability influences her approach not only to design, but also with clients and teammates alike. Her greatest joy is crafting beautifully functional spaces that facilitate deeper connection between occupants.

Originally from Boise, Idaho, Danielle moved to Colorado in 2019, where she began building her career in hospitality and procurement. After earning a degree in Leadership and Project Management from Arizona State University, Danielle discovered her passion for driving successful project outcomes through organization, strategy, and collaboration. As a dedicated Procurement Project Manager, she consistently leverages her expertise to deliver impactful results across a wide range of projects. Outside of her professional endeavors, Danielle enjoys traveling and embarking on spontaneous getaways with her family and close friends, always seeking new experiences and opportunities for adventure.

With 7 years of experience in the design industry, Kelsie brings fresh perspective and creativity to every design. Starting as a cabinet designer, Kelsie has expanded her breadth of knowledge, working her way into model home design. For the past 3 years, Kelsie has developed a love for making model homes unique and beautiful each in their individual way.

Kayla graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design and Minor in Construction Management. Having previously worked for a home builder in their design studio, Kayla knows how special a model home is to prospective homeowners. She loves that she still gets to be part of the home buying experience by providing outstanding interior merchandising. Kayla loves the combination of creativity, collaboration, and being detail oriented. She spends her free time as an artist, with loved ones, and rotating between her other hobbies.

Jocelyn’s spark for the design industry was ignited when she arrived in Colorado and started working with the KTI Model team. Jocelyn is an integral part of the planning and execution of model home installs, and her dedication to the team is unmatched. In her free time, Jocelyn enjoys watching Grey’s Anatomy and spending time with family and friends.

Originally from Seattle, Jiji earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Interior Design and loves designing beautiful homes and curating spaces that feel as good as they look. Her background includes experience in model home design, staging, and residential interiors. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Alex, and has recently taken up golf. She also values quality time with friends — whether at Pilates, exploring new restaurants, or catching up on favorite shows.

Cassandra is a results-driven purchasing coordinator with a strong background in Interior Design, experience in procurement workflows, FF&E, and vendor management. She began her career in fashion and earned her Associate of Applied Science in Interior Design from ACC in Littleton. With experience in residential design, luxury retail, and finish sales, she’s excited to bring her organizational strengths and passion for design to KTI, helping create spaces that enhance how people live.

With a combined bachelor’s degree in studio art, socio-legal studies, and interior design, Carter’s love of both the creative and the academic gives her a unique design voice. In 2017, Carter completed an internship at the company and has been a vital part of the Residential team ever since. This longstanding relationship with Kimberly Timmons has allowed her to participate in projects from start to finish, learning the business inside and out. Carter’s drive to succeed, love for collaboration, and strong artistic background have helped her to become the burgeoning young designer that she is. Outside the office, Carter spends whatever time she can outdoors – skiing, hiking, and biking her way through colorful Colorado with her little sheltie, Campbell.

Emma is a graduate from Northern Arizona University where she received her Bachelor of Preforming and Fine Arts in Interior Design. Throughout her college education and interior design internships, she has developed a great passion for all things related to design. She enjoys the unique challenges, creativity and detailed processes of a design project. A true creative, Emma always knew Interior Design would be her path. She is a Colorado native and loves all things outdoors whether that be skiing, hiking, or a Red Rocks concert.
KAYLA MONAHAN

Born and raised in Colorado, Kayla is always raising the bar for herself and for the projects she manages with her fresh ideas, can-do attitude, creative problem-solving skills, and the relationships she’s cultivated and strengthened. Kayla joined the KTI team in 2018 and has since received 3 promotions and earned her PMP Certification. When not working, she’s probably daydreaming about her next big adventure to a new country and learning what she can of the language before she hops on her flight.

Office Manager
Dana holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a concentration in marketing from the University of Kansas. Her 10 years’ experience in Office Administration in Interior Design and Education have taught her that organization, friendly customer service, and good communication are the keys to running a successful office. Dana has always been interested in art and interior design as a hobby and enjoys being a part of the design industry.
