OPPOSITES ATTRACT PRIMARY BEDROOM

A living room with a fireplace and large windows.

JENGA

A woman playing a game of jenga on a wooden table.

The master bedroom at project Opposites Attract couldn’t be a more Colorado oasis. Stunning mountain views, an earthy color palette, and a natural stone fireplace make this the perfect retreat. Perfect for a quiet date night, we chose Jenga to go with this space. The simple 2-person game is best shared in front of a crackling fire and a view. Not to mention, the kids will stay asleep even through the toppling of the tower because of the soft upholstered ottoman and plush rug.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN COASTAL

A living room with couches and a fireplace.

SCRABBLE

A pile of wooden scrabble letters on a table.

At project Rocky Mountain Coastal, this formal family room is anchored by a simple traditional-style fireplace with a gorgeous art centerpiece above. Built-in cabinets on either side provide symmetry and clean lines while the round chandelier and uniquely curved accent chairs contrast beautifully. We think scrabble is the perfect compliment to the gridded nature of this room — a traditional game for a traditional space, satisfying the eye with harmonious lines.

OPPOSITES ATTRACT GREAT ROOM

A modern living room with a fireplace and tv.

TRIVIAL PURSUIT

A board game with many colorful pieces on it.

This oversized stone fireplace in the great room of Opposites Attract is truly larger than life. With two matching sofas, two accent chairs, and mobile ottomans under the console table, this is the perfect space for a large group gathering. The elevated casual vibe is begging for an exciting game for a group: Trivial Pursuit! Lounge on comfortably elevated furnishings and test your trivial IQ.

The 2021 Designer Showhouse‘s 2-story fireplace is pure modern sophistication. The great room surrounding has lots of different personalities — from a contemporary accent chair to western-inspired footstool, to modern cocktail table — the only game that makes sense is Clue, with characters just as unique as each piece in this space. We especially thing Mrs. Peacock will feel right at home 😉

ASPEN RETREAT

MONOPOLY

A woman playing monopoly on a table.

In this luxurious Aspen Retreat estate, the great room boasts a grand fireplace adorned with rustic stone and a gorgeous dark wood mantle. The sophisticated furniture selection and classic western art is screaming for a classic game — enter: Monopoly! One of the most nostalgic games just makes sense after a long day on the slopes.

NORTH RANCH CLUBHOUSE

A living room with blue chairs and a fireplace.

SETTLERS OF CATAN

A game of settlers is shown on a table.

Hopping over to Las Vegas at the North Ranch Clubhouse, this quiet grouping of four chairs and an asymmetrical, modern fireplace is calling for a serious player’s game. For the game night purist, we recommend Settlers of Catan for this space. No distractions, all strategy. For a game that requires nothing but focus, this quiet corner is perfect!

FUNK IT UP

A living room with a fireplace and framed pictures.

CHUTES + lADDERS

Cutes ladders board game.

This second level rec room at project Funk it Up was made for a family game night! This 70’s home still has nods to it’s original architecture, so we’re feeling nostalgic. Chutes and Ladders is a classic 1940’s game that we feel fits the space. A happy combination of funky lines and colors, the whole family can get in on this combo.

TRANSITIONAL FARMHOUSE

A living room with a fireplace.

CHESS

Chess pieces on a wooden chess board.

Classy, traditional, and timeless are the words we’d use to describe our pick for the Transitional Farmhouse. This master bedroom retreat is commanded by a gorgeous original fireplace positioned in front of two swivel chairs that are made for unwinding. We can picture a glass of wine and a game of chess in this space.

LAKE LAS VEGAS

A living room with a fireplace and a tv.

BATTLESHIP

A person is holding a toy ship in a case.

The clubhouse at Lake Las Vegas is home to a gorgeous modern fireplace. With floor-to-ceiling stone and LED-lit built in shelving, it’s the centerpiece to the amenity building for the community. We paired this space with the classic game of battleship: casual yet carefully crafted, with nods to nautical design in color palette and materials.

OPPOSITES ATTRACT family room

A modern living room with a large tv.

TICKET TO RIDE

A board game with a map on it.

The family room at project Opposites Attract is a relaxed, open space connected to the kitchen and casual dining room, perfect for gathering the family. A modern fireplace set into a floor-to-ceiling stone wall is the focal point of the space. We picked a game that the whole family can get in on — Ticket to Ride!

the brass boot

A dining room with a fireplace and a cow head on the wall.

poker

A group of poker chips with an ace in the middle.

The perfect cards table may just exist at The Brass Boot. A stunning 3-sided stone and steel fireplace segments the large rec room, cozy-fying the space and providing a gorgeous backdrop. A classic game of poker or really any card game will do, with the perfect round gathering table to play at!
